FISCAL Technologies are Finalists at Venturefest Expo
Outstanding growth, innovative products and creative marketing lead to industry recognition at awards ceremony held at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford
Reading, UK – 30 June 2011: FISCAL Technologies, provider of world class accounts payable audit software AP Forensics®, was one of three finalists shortlisted for the category of Information Communication Technology Award in the Martin & Audrey Wood Enterprise Awards held at Venturefest on 7 June. Venturefest, is the South East’s premier event celebrating innovation and entrepreneurial spirit across Oxford and the Thames Valley. The judges were impressed with FISCAL’s dynamic growth and vision for providing inspirational technology solutions to the benefit of many government and corporate organisations.
FISCAL’s Managing Director, David Griffiths and Director of Customer Success, Lesley Reeve spent the day exhibiting at the event, culminating in a three minute presentation to an audience and panel of expert judges. Following their deliberations, the winners were announced during a champagne reception to over 120 representatives from the business, technology, research and investment communities in the region.
Faced with entries from many other organisations across the area, and with over £5,000 worth of prizes to be won, FISCAL states that competition was fierce. However, as Head of Communications, Esther Porter-Quinn says “Our demonstrable company ethos of encouraging personal growth, together with our commitment and passion to revolutionising our sector tipped the votes in our favour, and we’re delighted to have reached this stage in the awards”.
Afterwards, the awards dinner was held against the backdrop of the Greek and Roman sculpture galleries, generating a heady mix of the ancient and modern, with key networking opportunities providing inspirational ideas for business growth into 2012 for FISCAL and others.
The Martin & Audrey Wood Enterprise Awards were established by Oxford Innovation in honour of Sir Martin and Lady Audrey Wood, who co-founded Oxford Instruments PLC in 1959, and continue to support start-up and growing companies. The awards are open to companies, innovators and entrepreneurs in Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.
